When Rick Ross reached out to and signed the overly talented Teedra Moses to his ever expanding Maybach Music Label, I was cautiously excited to see where it went… and how long it was going to take to get some new music out of her. Impressive to say the least, Teedra drops an impressive EP within a few weeks of signing. Great sign of her getting down to work, After downloading and thoroughly investigating said EP/Mixtape, I can basically guarantee that its worth your time. Click here to catch the download, and enjoy.

Theres waaaay too much new Yummy Common Music dropping to be Ignored (click here).
Direct Swipe from Potholes:

We finally have the full version Common’s “Ghetto Dreams” featuring Nas. This is the first official leak off Common’s upcoming album The Dreamer, The Believer. The track is produced by Chicago’s own No I.D. When fakeshoredrive.com premiered the snippet back in late May it definitely had all of us excited for Common’s upcoming album. After dropping “Summer Madness” and now “Ghetto Dreams” Common is definitely back and I don’t mean the guy who released that Universal Mind Control album. Oddly enough it was Nas who leaked the new track. No complaints from me.You can stream “Ghetto Dreams” below and download it after the jump.

Seriously. Reggie Watts is Kinda Awesome and Hilarious all at once.

I’m really quite sad that I waited til the last-minute to try to score some tickets to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre to see Reggie Watts tonight. When he did this awesome little sketch on Conan last night, they were still available. By the time it was off and I woke up the next morning, they were gone. And I was sad.

Welp, I’ll just have to watch this repeatedly to make me feel better. You should watch it too. Hopefully he’ll get back to LA soon. Please do man.

The Beyonce Dip at the end is what made me happy inside.

*Update: Someone made an MP3 of this epic victory. They took out the short sketch in the beginning, but we have the full song. Click here to download and enjoy.

You know, "March of The Swivelheads" could be one of The Greatest Songs of All Time.

OR…
It could have one of the greatest Movie Placements of ALL time.
Til this day, I can watch this movie, which is almost as old as I am, and just get absolute joy out of this scene. Partially for the great chase scene… but mostly for the awesome song it took me almost 12 years to track down:

“March of The Swivelheads” by The English Beat.

Masters of 80s Two-Tone, Ska, and New Wave…. their  bigger hit was actually a little song called Mirror in the Bathroom. Perfect example of that blend of New Wave and Ska they’re so great at. And I say it in the present tense, as they are still an active band and touring currently. Kinda kickass, if you ask me.

Download the awesomeness that I have in my vaults here, and enjoy.

Quick Post on the win that is "Jackie Come Lately" by Heavy Young Heathens.

I like what they did here.

While watching and clearing videos, I came across the absolute awesome that is the single and video for Heavy Young Heathens first commercial release, “Jackie Come Lately.”

Heavy with aggressive guitar riffs and laden with some of the nicest drumwork I’ve heard from a band in a while, the video for “Jackie come Lately” is a visually intriguing glimpse into what appears to be a REALLY bad day for the band.

Not to mention that the drums go hard as sh*t from 2:13 on.

You can watch the YouTube below me here, and go to their main website for more… they have a full gallery of MP3s that you can download for absolutely free. I’ll get on that when I have more time.

For now, you enjoy.
