Holy shit son. Holy shit. How I’m feeling about this is real. This album is The Electronic Future. The Techno Way and the light.
SBTRKT basically just came through and make me like some shit that I usually dont like. And were passing “like” status. Were getting to “playing this shit daily” type-love. Its serious. Real talk? Fuck all that Frank Ocean shit.

This is where my attention is for now. Read the rest of this entry »

Theres waaaay too much new Yummy Common Music dropping to be Ignored (click here).
Direct Swipe from Potholes:

We finally have the full version Common’s “Ghetto Dreams” featuring Nas. This is the first official leak off Common’s upcoming album The Dreamer, The Believer. The track is produced by Chicago’s own No I.D. When fakeshoredrive.com premiered the snippet back in late May it definitely had all of us excited for Common’s upcoming album. After dropping “Summer Madness” and now “Ghetto Dreams” Common is definitely back and I don’t mean the guy who released that Universal Mind Control album. Oddly enough it was Nas who leaked the new track. No complaints from me.You can stream “Ghetto Dreams” below and download it after the jump.

Gil Scott Heron released a Hell of an album called "I'm New Here." You obviously need this in your life right now.

Rest Peacefully.

This man is one of the main reasons why Hip Hop exists in the form that it does. Spoken Word poetry is the basis for all Hip Hop, and men like him and The Last Poets are the reasons why you even know what rap music is.

Along with a powerful appearance on Kanye’s “Who Will Survive in America,” he had a wonderful album I picked up last year called “I’m New Here” (click here for more) as if to remind us that he hadn’t left… as if he was never going to leave us… despite his health. After releasing “We’re New Here” with Jamie XX(click here for more), he hopped on that Kanye track, then fell back.

I will miss you. And I’m glad your free from all of this.

Here. Shut Up Kianga. 🙂

You should already know, but if I don’t tell you this or post it up, Kianga will disown me. Like I told you she would here. Basically, built around Nas’ certified Hip Hop classic “Illmatic,” Elzhi sonically demonstrates why he is the best thing to come out of whats LEFT of Slum Village.

Click here to get it from XXL and whatnot.

Enjoy.
