Dee-1 is attemping to bring Quality Hip Hop Back. I'm supporting this attempt.

Get familiar with Dee-1… you’ll be hearing a lot about him from Music Nerdery. Dee-1 is not only a great hip hop artist,  but also an intelligent human being coming out of the NO. I can break it down in one, maybe two sentences. A man who refuses to use  profanity in his music and a graduate of Louisiana State University, he’s taught in middle schools throughout New Orléans in order to fund his dream of making Quality Hip Hop. That should give you an ideal of what he’s aiming for. Hopefully I’ll be able to sit down and interview him before he gets too famous, but for now, check out his newest video, “One Man Army.”
